Meet the Cannabis Impact Fund

As cannabis entrepreneurs, we have a responsibility to build an industry that does good and repairs the harms of cannabis prohibition + criminalization. One of the ways we do this is by donating to + uplifting grassroots organizations working at the intersection of cannabis justice + community empowerment, and engaging in conversations that continuously expand our understanding of these issues. When you support Dogwood, your dollars are making an impact and directly supporting amazing folks doing this work in our industry + communities.

In 2021, we have committed to a new giving back partner that we are honored to introduce to our community: The Cannabis Impact Fund (CIF).

CIF’s mission is “to promote racial justice, heal the planet and support communities in need by leveraging a conscious cannabis sector” via direct donations and partnerships with canna-businesses. They directly support organizations like Minorities 4 Medical Marijuana, The Hood IncubatorColor of ChangeThe Bail Project and Black Futures Lab.

We were blessed to connect with CIF’s Co-Founders, Kelly Perez + Courtney Mathis, on the steps of the US Capitol for the group photo at the 2019 Women Grow Leadership Summit. When we learned about their work with Kind Colorado + Cannabis Doing Good, it was clear that their passion + vision for our industry (and the world) were incredibly aligned with our own canna-mission. Learn more and support their work directly at cannabisimpactfund.org.
